During the business session of the 102nd annual meet of Tennessee Farm Bureau, 255 delegates from across the state elected a state board of directors to lead to the organization.

Upon the retirement of Catherine Via of Crockett County as one of three directors-at- large on the state board, the delegate body re-elected directors-at-large Charlie Hancock of Stewart County and David Richesin of Loudon County and elected Todd Littleton of Gibson County.

Todd and his wife, Kristin, are third generation row crop farmers where they grow corn, wheat and soybeans and raise pullets for Tyson. The couple has been involved in the organization for the past 21 years and has served on numerous boards and committees, including the state resolutions committee and several commodity committees. Todd has served as the Young Farmers & Ranchers chair in Gibson County and is currently the Gibson County Farm Bureau president.

“I’m excited, humbled and take it as an honor to represent my peers in an organization I feel is extremely important to agriculture,” said Littleton. “I am confident Tennessee Farm Bureau will lead the way in the future as we navigate challenges on the farm, and I’m looking forward to serve.”

Other directors re-elected by the voting delegates: president – Eric Mayberry of Humphreys County (elected to his second term); vice president – James Haskew of Marion County; district directors – John Chester of Weakley County (District I), Josh Ogle of Lincoln County (District II), Travis Tilley of Roane County (District III), Mike Scudder of Smith County (District IV) and Terry Snyder of Johnson County (District V); and state women’s chair Brenda Baker.

Robert Hill of Lauderdale County was also selected as the new state YF&R chair and will serve as an ex-officio director alongside Keith Carver, University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture senior vice president/vice chancellor, who also serves as an ex-officio director on the Tennessee Farm Bureau Board of Directors.
