Journal Communications Inc. Names Tennessee Home and Farm Magazine of the Year

02.23.2011″“ FRANKLIN, Tenn. ““ Tennessee Home and Farm magazine was named Magazine of the Year during Journal Communications’ 10th annual Quality Awards ceremony.

Tennessee Home and Farm is published quarterly for the members of the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation.

Tennessee Home and Farm was cited for its superior execution of editorial objectives, innovative sales techniques as well as engaging editorial and design. It represented the best of more than 100 magazines published by Journal Communications in 2010.

Tennessee Home and Farm features recipes, agriculture news, home and garden tips as well as travel features.

Graphic designer Laura Gallagher, Editor Jessy Yancey, Photographers Jeff Adkins and Antony Boshier and Integrated Media Manager Robin Robertson each received a “Haley,” named for Alex Haley (1921-1992), Journal Communications’ co-founder and Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Roots, for their work on the project.
