
Several Tennessee Farm Bureau members and farmers participated in American Farm Bureau’s issue advisory committee meetings this week in Washington, D.C. These volunteer leaders were selected based on their specific subject matter expertise to deep dive into issues and provide their unique experience to AFBF.
Of the 11 national committees, Tennessee was represented on eight. Each member was nominated by TFBF President Eric Mayberry and can serve up to two 2-year terms.
Members serving on issue advisory committees:
- Ben Moore (Weakley County) – Wildlife Damage
- Jordan Combs (Grainger County) – Ag Labor
- Vera Ann Myers (Greene County) – Organic, Food Safety and Direct Marketing
- TFBF President Eric Mayberry – AFBF board liaison for Farm Policy
- Dr. Samantha Beaty (State Veterinarian) – Animal Health
- Wendy Sneed (Cannon County) – Market Structures
- Hunter Grills (Dyer County) – Technology
- Ty McConnell (Obion County) – Budget & Economy
