During the 100th annual meeting of the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation, the Tennessee Young Farmers and Ranchers’ delegates elected Rob Holman of Obion County as their new chair to serve the upcoming year.

“I’m excited about serving in this role for the upcoming year,” said Holman. “Farm Bureau and Young Farmers and Ranchers is a special place. The friendship, networking and help sharing our story is so vital, and I can’t wait to build on it as chair alongside the rest of the committee this year.”

The Obion County native farms more than 2,200 acres of corn and soybeans alongside his wife, Leah, and his father, Mike.

Holman has served on the Tennessee YF&R State Committee for two years prior to being elected as state chair, but his leadership with Farm Bureau goes beyond that, participating in his local county Farm Bureau and also in various state YF&R events. He has served as the Obion County YF&R chair and also on the Obion County Farm Bureau Board of Directors, and hopes to continue his leadership throughout the next year and beyond.

As the Tennessee Young Farmers and Ranchers State Committee chair, Holman will work with the rest of the Tennessee Farm Bureau State Board of Directors and President Eric Mayberry in leading the more than 680,000 family members who make up the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation.
