
Scott Vann has been named Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation regional field director for southern Middle Tennessee announced Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation Executive Vice President Bryan Wright.
Vann’s role as regional field director will be to serve as the Farm Bureau liaison for 13 counties in Middle Tennessee – Bedford, Coffee, Franklin, Giles, Hickman, Lawrence, Lewis, Lincoln, Marshall, Maury, Moore, Rutherford and Wayne.
“We’re looking forward to Scott joining our impressive group of field staff,” said Wright. “The work they do is critical to our organization’s mission, and I am confident Scott will be an asset to our staff and the southern counties he will serve.”
A native of Culleoka, Vann has had a passion for agriculture since his days in FFA. He received his bachelor’s degree in agricultural business from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2016. During his time in college, he was active with the National Agri-Marketing Association, Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity and as an ambassador for the college of agriculture. For the past five years, Vann has been working in seed certification at Tennessee Crop Improvement Association as well as assisting in managing Kentucky Seed Improvement for the last two years.
“Being raised in southern Middle Tennessee, I am eager to serve the county leaders and farmers here,” said Vann. “Tennessee Farm Bureau plays an integral part in protecting the farm family’s way of life, and I am honored to be a part of the team.”
Vann currently resides in Columbia with his wife, Tammy, as well as their son and soon-to-be daughter. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing and being involved in the community, especially at his family’s church, St. Luke United Methodist.
