As the farm bill extension deadline approaches at the end of this month, it is of utmost importance for Congress to work together and get a new 5-year farm bill reauthorized, not just pass another extension of the current farm bill. 140 members of the U.S. House of Representatives sent a letter to House leadership highlighting how important reauthorizing a new farm bill this year is for the nation’s farmers. Four Tennessee lawmakers including Congressmen Scott DesJarlais, Chuck Fleischmann, David Kustoff, and John Rose are among the lawmakers that signed the letter asking Congress to reauthorize a new 5-year Farm Bill.
