There is no doubt an interest in the whole idea of carbon markets and climate-smart agriculture, which is why the Biden Administration and USDA recently announced an investment of close to $3 billion for 70 projects to focus on just that. The University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture was fortunate enough to be one of those projects selected for $30 million, and Dr. Pat Keyser, professor in forestry, wildlife and fisheries is spear heading this project.
