During the 101st annual meeting of the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation, the Tennessee Young Farmers and Ranchers’ delegates elected Will Elliott of Robertson County as their new chair to serve the upcoming year.

“It’s an honor to be in this position and an honor to be elected by your peers for anything, but especially as YF&R chair,” said Elliott. “Farm Bureau is something I was raised in, it’s an organization that has always been there and I’m excited to use my experience thus far to take YF&R to even greater lengths alongside the state YF&R committee this year.”

Elliott’s family farms a close to 200-year-old family farm in Robertson County where they raise more than 200 head of Angus cattle, dark fired tobacco and hay. Elliott served as an agricultural educator for nine years before transitioning to his current role as the career and technical education coordinator for Robertson County.

With a strong family legacy in Farm Bureau and YF&R, Elliott has been involved with both organizations for the past 13 years. Elliott served on the Tennessee YF&R State Committee last year before being elected as state chair, but his leadership with Farm Bureau goes beyond that, participating in his local county Farm Bureau and also in various state YF&R events.

As the Tennessee Young Farmers and Ranchers State Committee chair, Elliott will serve as an advisory member on the Tennessee Farm Bureau State Board of Directors.
