The case of Chronic Wasting Disease has been detected in Lewis County. This marks the 17th county in Tennessee to have a positive case of the deadly deer disease. The first case was detected in Tennessee back in 2018. The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency has new guidance for deer hunters in the counties with positive CWD cases.
